Krzysztof Tyczkowski
graphic designer
Born in £ód¼, 1st February 1955.
In 1979 graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in £ód¼ with a MFA in Graphic Design. His professional career has begun with graphic design work - posters (over a hundred titles), books, logos, newspapers and magazines. A lot of his works have been commissioned by various art and culture organisations.
His artistic activities include designs, publications, teaching and academic development. His works have been frequently exhibited and have received numerous awards.
Recognition of his oeuvre resulted in several offers of interesting jobs,
e.g. in an international advertising agency McCann Communications in Warsaw, as the art director in Film & Advertising Agency "Kolski & Partners", in "The
News of the Day" daily,
in "The Town" monthly magazine.
He has also steadily developed his academic career.
In the years 1982-1996 he taught senior students of the Department of Graphics and Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in £ód¼.
In 1997 he has been awarded PhD Doctor habilitatus in Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in £ód¼. In October 1997 he accepted a position of an assistant professor in Group of Computer Graphics and Multimedia, Computer Science Institute at the Technical University of £ód¼.
Professor of the School of Art and Design in £ód¼ (since 2004).
Author of number of articles and "Lettera Magica" - a book on typography design.
